“怕” Why people are "afraid" “怕”

Why people are "afraid" of talking with someone in the other age? I will show you an example.
Now in the internet era there are many chat rooms and forums.
Just say we are on the philosophy chat.
We are talking wisely with someone and then he asks us how old are we.
We can say for example "I'm 13 (or) 68 years old". The other persons
says "Oops I'm 26 Bye". You can check that it happens all the time.
It doesn't matter that we have talked wisely for last 3 hours. Because
of that people are hiding their age adding or removing few years. Why
are they ashamed to be in their age? No they are afraid not to be
laughed…………….
Out in the real world, it's like the majority of people are most
comfortable with others their own age. Maybe it's because they grew up
with the same world events, the same prominent worldview, maybe it's
because people close to their age look more like them and people are
naturally most drawn to those who seem to resemble them. I'd blame it
on the educational system, too. Students are placed primarily among
kids only their own age, and this is the extent of 'socialization.'
Judging by age becomes so common, it naturally carries over to the internet.
I absolutely detest that. I've had incredible conversations with 10
year olds, 30 year olds, 50 year olds, and 70 year olds. They all have
different experiences and paradigms, they're all fascinating.
You know, it's just hard to explain, even with psychological point of
view...For me is very, I'd say, out of logic, and weird, but it does
happen. Well, yes, I can agree with you, that education sometimes makes
kids go crazy, but it is not the main reason, I suppose...But we all (
almost all...) are touched by education, and not all of us are afraid
of people who are older/younger.
So there must be also some other factor/factors which is/are in some
way responsible for this. Maybe it's connected with the personal
predispositions, character, or even personality disorders ( sometimes
very well hidden ) is some cases...
What is your opinion about this issue???????
