Wishing I had not read those words
Would rather be alone in my mind
Feeling like I've been here forever
Wanting to stay, wishing to be blind

Things people say can change your day
Words can hurt more than anything
Some let them spill without a care
Not realizing the damage it brings

Saying thoughts within your mind
Without reviewing before they spurt
Always think before you speak
You will avoid someone being hurt

The world would be a better place
If we thought before we spoke
Looking to see how we would feel
If it was our hearts being broke
